এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনারের সাথে সাক্ষাত

এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম এবং ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনার রীভা গাঙ্গুলী দাস আজ (২৫-৮-২০১৯) ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনে এক আলোচনায় মিলিত হন। আলোচনায় বন্ধুপ্রতিম এ প্রতিবেশী দেশদুটির মধ্যে দ্বিপাক্ষিক বাণিজ্য বৃদ্ধি এবং শিক্ষা ও কারিগরি সহায়তা ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন দিক স্থান পায়।
এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম বলেন যে, ব্যবসা পরিবেশ উন্নত করতে বর্তমান সরকার বিভিন্ন বাণিজ্য নীতির সংস্কার এবং ব্যবসা পরিচালনা সহজীকরণে ( ease of doing business ) কার্যকর প্রচেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। দেশের বেসরকারি খাতের শীর্ষ সংগঠন এফবিসিসিআই সরকারের এসব কর্মসূচী বাস্তবায়নে প্রয়োজনীয় সহায়তা দিয়ে যাচ্ছে। করপোরেট কর হার যৌক্তিকিকরণ এবং রেগুলেটরি ইম্প্যাক্ট এসেসমেন্টের ক্ষেত্রে এফবিসিসিআই বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দিচ্ছে। এছাড়াও এফবিসিসিআই জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য বিরোধ নিষ্পন্নের লক্ষ্যে ‘এফবিসিসিআই আর্বিট্রেশন সেন্টারের’ কাজ শুরু করেছে বলে শেখ ফাহিম উল্লেখ করেন। বর্তমান সময়ের চাহিদা অনুযায়ি দেশের দক্ষ জনশক্তির প্রয়োজন মেটাতে ‘এফবিসিসিআই ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি’ এবং ‘টেকনিকাল ও ভোকেশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট’ প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হয়েছে। এ প্রসঙ্গে এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি এ প্রতিষ্ঠান দুটি পরিচালনায় ভারত থেকে বিশেষজ্ঞ জ্ঞান ( knowledge sharing ) বিনিময়ের ওপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন।
ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনার তাঁর বক্তব্যে বাংলাদেশের সাম্প্রতিক আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নকে অত্যন্ত তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ বলে উল্লেখ করেন। সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলোতে বাংলাদেশ ও ভারতের মধ্যে বাণিজ্য এবং রাজনৈতিক সম্পর্ক গাঢ়তর হয়েছে বলে হাইকমিশনার উল্লেখ করেন। এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতির প্রস্তাবের প্রেক্ষিতে হাইকমিশনার জানান যে, ভারতে বিপুল সংখ্যক দক্ষ ও প্রশিক্ষিত কারিগরি প্রশিক্ষক রয়েছে যারা এফবিসিসিআইয়ের শিক্ষা-প্রশিক্ষণ প্রতিষ্ঠান দুটিতে কাজ করতে আসতে পারেন। তবে বাংলাদেশের অভূতপূর্ব অগ্রগতির বিষয়ে যথাযথ ব্র্যন্ডিং হলে ভারতের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে ব্যবসায়িরা এ বিষয়ে অবগত হবেন বলে তিনি মত প্রকাশ করেন। এ প্রসঙ্গে ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনার উল্লেখ করেন যে, ভারতীয় ব্যবসায়িরা বাংলাদেশে ব্যবসা করতে এলে বাংলাদেশ তা থেকে উপকৃত হবে। হাইকমিশনার আরও বলেন যে, বাংলাদেশ এবং ভারতের স্থলবন্দরগুলো দিয়ে যাতে দুদেশে রপ্তানিযোগ্য সকল পণ্য আসা-যাওয়া করতে পারে সে বিষয়টিতে বিশেষ নজর দেয়া প্রয়োজন। অন্য এক প্রসঙ্গে হাইকমিশনার জানান যে, ভারতে নব্য উদ্যোক্তাদের জন্য সম্প্রতি ‘পরিবার-ভিত্তিক ব্যবসা উদ্যোগ’ ( Family owned business ) বেশ সাফল্য পেয়েছে, যা বাংলাদেশ গ্রহণ করতে পারে। এ উদ্যোগটি বাংলাদেশে জনপ্রিয় করতে হাইকমিশন সহায়তা করতে আগ্রহী বলে তিনি জানান।
এফবিসিসিআই সহ-সভাপতি মিসেস হাসিনা নেওয়াজ ও জনাব মো: রেজাউল করিম রেজনু এবং এফবিসিসিআই পরিচালক মি. প্রবীর কুমার সাহা আলোচনায় অংশ নেন। এফবিসিসিআই সহ-সভাপতি মীর নিজাম উদ্দিন ও পরিচালক মি. সুজিব রঞ্জন দাস এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন। আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানে ডেপুটি হাইকমিশনার মি. বিশ্বদীপ দে এবং কমার্শিয়াল অফিসার মি.প্রামেশ বাসাল অংশ নেন।

FBCCI President met Indian High Commissioner

Discussion on bilateral trade and business, education etc. held

FBCCI President Sheikh F Fahim met with Indian High Commissioner Ms. Riva Ganguli Das at Indian High Commission this morning (25-8-2019). They discussed on development of bilateral trade and cooperation in education and technical sector between the two neighboring countries.

FBCCI President Sheikh F Fahim said that the present government is working sincerely to develop the business environment and for ease of doing business. FBCCI, as the apex trade body of the country is extending necessary assistance to implement the government programs. FBCCI has put special emphasis to rationalize the corporate tax, and in regulatory impact assessment. Besides, FBCCI has also started working with ‘FBCCI Arbitration Center’ to solve the trade disputes. To meet the demand driven workforce FBCCI has established the ‘FBCCI International University’ and ‘FBCCI Technical and Vocational Institute’. To run the Institutions, FBCCI Chief emphasized on knowledge sharing with India in these sectors.

The Indian High Commissioner lauded the recent remarkable socio-economic advancements of Bangladesh. India and Bangladesh has reached into a new height in trade and political relationship in recent years, she added. In response to a point of FBCCI President, the High Commissioner mentioned that India has plenty of skilled trainers who can provide their expertise in FBCCI Institutions. Ms. Ganguli emphasized on positive branding of Bangladesh’s development so that the Indian entrepreneurs of different parts can be informed about this. If the Indian business people come to Bangladesh to do business here, Bangladesh will be benefited, she added. The High Commissioner also emphasized on facilitation of land port services of both countries to go the exportable goods smoothly through all the land ports. The Indian High Commissioner also mentioned about the success of ‘Family owned business’ in India and expressed her interest to provide necessary support if Bangladesh adapt it here.

FBCCI Vice Presidents Mrs. Hasina Newaaz, Mr. Rejaul Karim Rejnu and FBCCI Director Mr. Prabir Kumar Saha took part in the discussion. FBCCI Vice President Mr. Nizam Uddin and Director Mr. Sujib Ranjan Dash were present. Mr.Bishwadip Dey, Deputy High Commissioner and Mr. Pramyesh Basall, Commercial Officer of Indian High Commission also joined.
