প্রথমবারের মতো ‘উইমেন অব এক্সেলেন্স প্রোগ্রাম ২০২২’ এর আয়োজন :

আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে ৮ মার্চ, ২০২২এ প্রথমবারের মতো ‘উইমেন অব এক্সেলেন্স প্রোগ্রাম ২০২২’ আয়োজন করেছে র্যাডিসন ব্লু ঢাকা ওয়াটার গার্ডেন হোটেল। অনুষ্ঠানে দেশের নারী পেশাজীবীদের নিয়ে একটি আলোচনা পর্ব এবং তাদের কর্মজীবনে সফলতা ও অর্জনসমূহের প্রতি সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। এই উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে এই বছরের নারী দিবসের থিম ব্রেক দ্যা বায়ার্স এর প্রতি সমর্থন প্রদর্শন করেছে র্যাডিসন ব্লু।
‘উইমেন অব এক্সেলেন্স প্রোগ্রাম’এ প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের বেসামরিক বিমান পরিবহন ও পর্যটন প্রতিমন্ত্রী মো: মাহবুব আলী, এমপি। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নারী ও শিশু বিষয়ক মন্ত্রনালয়ের সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির সভাপতি মেহের আফরোজ চুমকি, এমপি, প্রমুখ। অনুষ্ঠানে প্যানেলিস্ট হিসেবে আলোচনায় অংশগ্রহণ করেন জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাব-এর সভাপতি ফরিদা ইয়াসমিন; শেয়ারট্রিপ-এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সাদিয়া হক; ট্রাস্ট ব্যাংক লিমিটেড-এর ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর ও সিইও হুমাইরা আজম; মার্কস অ্যান্ড স্পেন্সার-এর কান্ট্রি ম্যানেজার স্বপ্না ভৌমিক; এবং বিশিষ্ট সাংস্কৃতিক ব্যক্তিত্ব শিমুল ইউসুফ। এছাড়া, আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন ওয়ারাহ-এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও চীফ ডিজাইনার রুমানা চৌধুরী; ইকোনোমিক রিপোর্টার্স ফোরাম-এর সভাপতি শারমিন রিনভী; এবং জনপ্রিয় রন্ধনশিল্পী নাহিদ ওসমান। আলোচনা পর্বটি সঞ্চালনার দায়িত্বে ছিলেন কনসিটো-এর এক্সিকিউটিভ ডিরেক্টর মাহজাবীন ফেরদৌস।
র্যাডিসন ব্লু ঢাকা’র জেনারেল ম্যানেজার (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) এবং সেলস ও মার্কেটিং ডিরেক্টর শরফুদ্দিন নেওয়াজ বলেন, “স্বাধীনতার মাসে দেশের সফল ও স্বনামধন্য নারী পেশাজীবীদের নিয়ে এই অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজন করতে পেরে র্যাডিসন ব্লু ঢাকা ওয়াটার গার্ডেন সত্যিই আনন্দিত। দেশের অগ্রযাত্রায় নারীদের ভূমিকা অপরিসীম এবং তাদের প্রতি যোগ্য সম্মান প্রদর্শন করা আমাদের কর্তব্য। আজকের সকল প্যানেলিস্টসহ উপস্থিত সকল অতিথিদের প্রতি রইল শুভকামনা।”
র্যাডিসন ব্লু ঢাকা প্রতিবছর আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে এই বিশেষ প্রোগ্রাম আয়োজন করে। প্রোগ্রামে অংশগ্রহণকারী নারীরা হোটেলে বিশেষ সেবা ও মূল্যছাড় পেয়ে থাকে। প্রথমবারের মতো প্রোগ্রামটিতে অ্যাওয়ার্ড সিরিজ চালু করা হয়েছে।

To commemorate International Women’s Day 2022, Radisson Blu recognized women who have succeeded in both public and private professions
[Dhaka, 09 March, 2022] Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, to commemorate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022, for the first time hosted International Women’s Day 2022-Women of Excellence, an awards series to honor the career-based accomplishments of female professionals in Bangladesh. At the event, a discussion panel was held with prominent women professionals of the country, who were honored for their career achievements. With this initiative, Radisson Blu Dhaka has shown their commitment to #BreakTheBias, which is the theme for IWD 2022.
Gracing the event as the Chief Guest was Mr. Md. Mahbub Ali, Honorable State Minister of the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation. Present as the event’s Special Guest was Meher Afroz Chumki, MP, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. The honorable panelists of the event were Sadia Haque, Founder of ShareTrip; Shimul Yousuf, actor, director and singer; Humaira Azam, Managing Director and CEO of Trust Bank Limited; Shwapna Bhowmick, Country Manager at Marks & Spencer; and Farida Yasmin, President of the National Press Club. Awardees included Rumana Chowdhury, Founder and Chief Designer of Warah, Sharmin Rinvi, President of the Economic Reporters Forum, and Nahid Osman, celebrity chef. The panel was moderated by Mahzabin Ferdous, Executive Director of Concito.

Every year, Radisson Blu Dhaka celebrates International Women’s Day through their Signature Program, which features special events and discounts on the hotel’s services for women. This is the first time they have launched their awards series for outstanding women professionals.
