২৯ জুলাই ২০১৮ বিয়াম ফাউন্ডেশনে অনুষ্ঠিত প্রগতি ইন্সুরেন্স লিমিটেড এর ৩২ তম বার্ষিক সাধারন সভায় কোম্পানীর শেয়ারহোল্ডারদের জন্য ২০১৭ সালে ১৩% নগদ লভ্যাংশ এবং ৫% বোনাস শেয়ার অনুমোদন করা হয় । এই সভায় কোম্পানীর চেয়ারম্যান সৈয়দ এম আলতাফ হোসাইন সভাপতিত্ব করেন। কোম্পানীর পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সদস্য সর্বজনাব আব্দুল আউয়াল মিন্টু, মোহা¤মদ এ. আউয়াল, নাসির লতিফ, সন্তোষ শর্মা এবং প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা জনাব মোঃ রেজাউল করিম ও প্রচুর সংখ্যক শেয়ারহোল্ডার উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
২০১৭ সালে কোম্পানী গ্রস প্রিমিয়াম বাবদ আয় করে ১৬৬ কোটি টাকা যা গত বছরের তুলনায় ৭.৯% অধিক। উক্ত বছরে কোম্পানীর কর পূর্ব মুনাফা আয় হয় ২১.৩৩ কোটি টাকা। নীট দাবী পরিশোধের পরিমান ৮.২৪ কোটি টাকা যা গত বছরে ছিল ৭.৬৭ কোটি টাকা। বীমা খাত থেকে আয় হয়েছে ১২.৮৯ কোটি টাকা যা বিগত বছরের তুলনায় ৩৩.৪২% বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। মোট সম্পদের পরিমান দাড়িয়েছে ৪৩১ কোটি টাকা ।
চেয়ারম্যান তার বক্তব্যে বলেন এ বছর বীমা খাত থেকে আয় হয়েছে ১২.৮৯ কোটি টাকা যা গত বছরের তুলনায় ৩৩.৪২% বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে । এ বছর শেয়ার প্রতি আয় বেড়েছে ২.৬৬ টাকা যা গত বছর ছিল ২.৩৮ টাকা । এই সাফল্যের পিছনে রয়েছে বীমা গ্রাহকদের অসীম অবদান, কোম্পানীর পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সঠিক দিক নির্দেশনা, কোম্পানীর সকল ¯তরের কর্মকর্তা, কর্মচারীদের অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম এবং কর্মনিষ্ঠা।
বিপুল সংখ্যক শেয়ারহোল্ডার আলোচনায় অংশ গ্রহন করেন এবং কোম্পানীর কার্যক্রমেও অর্জিত সাফল্যে সন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেন। বার্ষিক সাধারন সভা সঞ্চালনা করেন কোম্পানী সচিব ( চলতি দায়িত্ব) সৈয়দ আনিসুল হক।
সভায় উদ্যোক্তা পরিচালক হতে ৩ জন পরিচালক পুনঃ নির্বাচিত হন তাঁরা হলেন সর্বজনাব খান মোঃ আমীর, মোঃ সারোয়ার কামাল, মোঃ মুশফিকুর রহমান । পাবলিক শেয়ারহোল্ডারের পক্ষ থেকে ২ জন পরিচালক নির্বাচিত হন তারা হলেন- জনাব মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল মালেক এবং জনাব তাবিদ মোঃ আউয়াল।
Pragati Insurance Ltd. declared 13% Cash & 5% stock dividend for the year 2017 in its 32nd Annual General Meeting held on 29th July, 2018 at BIAM Foundation, 63, New Eskaton, Dhaka . The meeting was presided over by Syed M. Altaf Hussain, Chairman of the company. Members of the Board of Directors Mr. Abdul Awal Mintoo, Mr. Mohd. A. Awwal, Mr. Nasir Latif, Mr. Santosh Sharma and Managing Director & CEO Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim and a large number of shareholders attended the meeting.
PRAGATI INSURANCE DECLARES 18% DIVIDEND.
During the year 2017 the company earned Gross premium of Tk.1664.78 million which was 7.91% higher than the previous year. Profit before tax was Tk.210.33 million. Net claim settled during the year was Tk.82.48 million against Tk.76.72 million in 2016.Underwriting profit stood at Tk.124.89 million in 2017 which was 33.42% higher than the previous year. The total asset of the Company stood at Tk. 4310.59 million in 2017.

The EPS increased at Tk.2.66 in this year which was at Tk.2.38 in the year 2016. He said that this success which has come in to being due to the contribution of Insurance clients, right direction of the Board of Directors, hardworking of the management and the all officers and employees. I and the Board of Directors also remember their contribution with due respect.
A large number of shareholders participated in the discussion, expressed their full satisfaction with the performance of the Company. The meeting was conducted by Company Secretary(CC), Syed Anisul Hoque.
The meeting elected 3 Directors from “A” Group shareholders namely – (i)Mr. Khan Mohd. Ameer, (ii) Mr. Md. Sarwar Kamal and (ii) Mr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman. The meeting also elected 2 Directors from Group-B shareholders they are: Mr. Mohd. A. Malek and Mr. Tabith Mohd. Awal.
