২০২১-এর প্রথম প্রান্তিক পর্যন্ত সময়ের হিসাব অনুযায়ী, আইপিডিসির কাস্টমার ডিপোজিট গত পাঁচ বছরে ৯.২ গুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে যার অন্যতম কারণ প্রতিষ্ঠানটির বিভিন্নি উদ্ভাবনী ডিপোজিট ক্যাম্পেইন। প্রথম প্রান্তিকের আয় ২০১৬ সালের একই সময়ের তুলনায় ৬.৪ গুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে এবং এর শ্রেণীকৃত ঋণের অনুপাত রয়েছে ০.৯৫% এ যা তালিকাভুক্ত ডাইভারসিফাইড এনবিএফআইগুলোর মধ্যে এই খাতে এখনও সর্বনিম্ন। মহামারির দ্বিতীয় ওয়েভ সত্ত্বেও, আইপিডিসি গত বছরের একই সময়ের তুলনায় নিজস্ব পারফরম্যান্সকে ছাড়িয়ে গেছে। এটি ১৬.৭৮% মূলধন পর্যাপ্ততা অনুপাতসহ একটি শক্তিশালী মূলধন ভিত্তি বজায় রেখেছে।
সামনে কঠিন সময় বিবেচনা করে রাখা পর্যাপ্ত প্রভিশন বাদেও প্রতিষ্ঠানটির ২০২১ সালের প্রথম প্রান্তিকে ট্যাক্স পরবর্তী নিট মুনাফা ২০.৫ কোটি টাকা যা ২০১৬ সালের প্রথম প্রান্তিকের তুলনায় ৩.৪ গুণ বেশি। সংস্থাটিও ২০২১ এর প্রথম প্রান্তিক শেষ করেছে ১৩৮.৭ কোটি টাকার শক্তিশালী তারল্য নিশ্চিত করে, যা এর স্বল্পমেয়াদী দায় মেটাতে যথেষ্ট। মমিনুল ইসলাম প্রয়োজনীয় খাতে, বিশেষত কুটির, মাইক্রো, ক্ষুদ্র, এবং মাঝারি আকারের উদ্যোগকে (সিএমএসএমই) সাহায্য করার প্রতিশ্রুতি পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেছেন, যেহেতু এটি কর্মচারী সংখ্যা এবং জিডিপির প্রতি তাদের অবদানের দিক থেকে অর্থনীতির বৃহত্তম অংশ। এ লক্ষ্যে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের নির্দেশ অনুসারে ৭০ কোটি টাকার স্টিমুলাস প্যাকেজ বিতরণে 'এসএমই বন্ধু' প্রডাক্ট চালু করা হয় এবং ইউনিলিভার, রবি ও আড়ংয়ের মতো উল্লেখযোগ্য কর্পোরেশনগুলির সাথে অর্থবহ সম্পর্ক প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হয়।
কর্মীবাহিনীর স্বাস্থ্যসুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করতে আইপিডিসি ফ্রি কোভিড টেস্টিং করেছে এবং ডিজিটাল ট্রান্সফরমেশনকে দ্রুত বাস্তবায়ন করে বাড়ি থেকে কাজ করার ব্যবস্থা করেছে। লকডাউন চলাকালে অফিসে এসে কাজ করা কর্মীদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতেও সব ধরণের ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হয়েছিল। আইপিডিসি জনগোষ্ঠীর সহায়তার জন্য 'আইপিডিসি মানবতা' ডিপোজিট পুনরায় চালু করেছে, যা অর্থ সঞ্চয় করতে এবং একই সাথে সঞ্চয়ের বিপরীতে নির্দিষ্ট হারে সুবিধাবঞ্চিতদের মধ্যে খাবার সরবরাহে ভূমিকা রেখেছে। সেই সাথে আইপিডিসি তাদের সমস্ত এসএমই ক্লায়েন্টের জন্য কোভিডের বিপরীতে বিনামূল্যে জীবনবীমা এবং স্বাস্থ্য বীমা সরবরাহ করা শুরু করে।
আইপিডিসি করোনা পরিস্থিতির মাঝেও দেশের প্রথম বই কেনার লোন 'সুবোধ'কে ফিরিয়ে আনে এবং বইমেলার মৌসুমে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি বজায় রেখেই নতুন বইয়ের ঘ্রাণে বিভোর হতে রকমারি ডটকমের সহযোগিতায় অনলাইনে 0% সুদে সুবোধ লোন দিয়ে বই ক্রয়ের ব্যবস্থা করে। ডিজিটাল উদ্যোগের মধ্যে আইপিডিসি &# 39; অগ্রজ' নামে একটি অনলাইন শো পরিচালনা করছে। স্বাধীনতা পরবর্তী বাংলাদেশকে গড়ে তুলতে বিভিন্নি ক্ষেত্রে উল্লেখযোগ্য অবদান রাখা কীর্তিমানদের জয়যাত্রার গল্প তাঁদের সাথে আলাপচারিতার মাঝে তুলে ধরা হয় এই অনুষ্ঠানটিতে।

IPDC Continues to Thrive amid Second Wave
First Quarter investors meet discloses IPDC’s impressive Q1’ 21 results Dhaka, 29 June 2021- IPDC Finance Limited conducted its Q1’21 Investors Meet to discuss the financial highlights, benchmarks, and key strategies ahead. The session, which was conducted virtually on June 29, 2021, declared IPDC’s record revenue despite the second wave of the pandemic. The session was attended by investors, journalists, industry experts both from home and abroad, stakeholders, and a wider audience through Facebook live from the company’s official page. The session was presented in IPDC’s official Facebook page by it’s Managing Director and CEO, Mominul Islam. Besides sharing the Q1’21 financial highlights, the session
also covered the company’s future strategy post COVID-19. While presenting, Mominul Islam emphasized on the technology enabled and socially responsible business models focusing on cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises (CMSMEs) and women and young entrepreneurs, and lower-middle income households outside Dhaka and Chittagong, which remains the cornerstone for its sustained growth and profitability even during a very difficult period. IPDC has achieved such triumphs as it maintains good corporate governance, proactively maps out its strategies, and takes responsibility of its customers, employees, and the community which it serves.
As of first quarter of 2021, IPDC’s customer deposit has increased by 9.2 times over the course of the last five years due to its innovative deposit campaigns. Quarterly Revenue has grown by 6.4 times compared to the first quarter of 2016 while its classified loan ratio of 0.95% remains the lowest in the sector amongst the publicly listed diversified NBFIs. Despite the second wave of the pandemic, IPDC has outperformed its own performance compared to the same period last year. It has maintained a strong capital base with a capital adequacy ratio of 16.78%. After setting aside adequate provisioning due to difficult times ahead, the company has registered solid net profit after tax of BDT 20.5 crore during the first quarter of 2021, which has grown by 3.4 times since Q1 2016.
The company has also ended Q1’21 with a strong liquidity cushion of BDT 138.7 crore–enough to meet its short-term liabilities. Mr. Islam reaffirmed his commitment to help those in need, especially the cottage, micro, small, and medium sized enterprises (CMSMEs) since it’s the largest segment of the economy in terms of the number of employment it generates and its contribution towards the GDP, thus launching SME Bondhu to help disburse the BDT 70 crore Stimulus Package as per instructions from Bangladesh Bank, and formed meaningful
collaborations with prominent corporates like Unilever, Robi and Aarong to support its customers.
IPDC also supported its employees through free COVID testing and digitally transforming the company internally, enabling most of its employees to work from home and ensuring their health and safety by allowing them to work from home. Measures were taken to assure the safety of the employees attending the office and during the lockdown period. To support the community, IPDC relaunched IPDC Manobota, a deposit product to help people save money and at the same time provide food among underprivileged people against the deposited amount. Along with that, IPDC started providing free life and health insurance against COVID for all their SME clients.
IPDC also brought back Shubodh, in collaborated with rokomari.com. to help customers
access the bookstore without physically having to go to the book fair and enjoy interest-
free book facilities. Amongst its digital initiatives, IPDC continued its online show titled OGROJ, to celebrate the journey of successful individuals who have made a mark in their respective fields and creating a digital memoir on the narratives of these protagonists from post-
independent Bangladesh. To promote Bangladeshi folk music globally, IPDC Finance Limited created a virtual platform 'IPDC Amader Gaan' in September last year. The platform exclusively features diverse musical influences and offers studio-recorded performances by promising singers of the country. Penned by several mystic bards including Fakir Lalon Shah, Shah Abdul Karim and Palli Kabi Jasimuddin, several covers received unparallel popularity. As a recognition to this effort, IPDC has been awarded with “Intellectual
Property Protection Awards 2021” by Bangladesh Copyright office.
Among its many accolades, IPDC won the Bangladesh Innovation Awards 2021 hosted by Bangladesh Innovation Conclave. IPDC won the award under the category of Best Innovation – Finance – NBFIs for its project ORJON, Southeast Asia's First Blockchain- Based Supply Chain Finance Platform. IPDC also bagged the Inspiring Women Awards 2021 for the category “The Most Progressive Organization”, for its women friendly culture and environment.
